Blood Cancer Patient Support
Blood cancer treatment is aggressive and prolonged. Patients face months of frequent appointments, often far from home. The financial strain is immediate: gas cards for daily radiation appointments, hotel rooms near the hospital during intensive chemotherapy, utility payments when a breadwinner can't work, meals when exhausted caregivers can't cook.
The Live Like Brent Foundation was founded by a blood cancer survivor who understood these burdens firsthand. Brent P. Evans overcame Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2012 and immediately began helping others face the same fight. When his cancer returned in 2017, Brent's vision lived on through our hospital-based Comfort Funds.
